Everyone can claim to be an event agency. Or an event planner. No licence is required.
As a professional event organiser, we know all about the do's and dont's.
Not only about security, food, health, insurance issues, the required space for the amount of people expected, the number of security exits, but about every single aspect of event management.
There is no doubt (corporate) event planning is a professional occupancy with high risks. But still, everyone can claim to be an event planner. Your next door butcher, your secretary, the successfull pub around the corner,... They can all claim to do the same activities as a real event agency.
That is why we plead for an official European licence for event planners.
