My Favourite Foodie Hotspots Of The Moment
As we are in a Summer Holiday modus, I would like to share a couple of my favourite spots to hang out, have lunch, dinner or just a cocktail.
This list is of course limited to the spots I have seen, I am sure there are plenty of other great spots, feel free to share them with me.
Most of the spots are in France, because it is close to Belgium, it is easy for me to get there.
So... Here we go!
It is Summer, so I will start with a beach. Indie Beach in Ramatuelle is truely a great concept. African vibes are combined with a Caribbean atmosphere. The set-up is all natural, yet very elegant. The music is on top and creates the perfect mood. And finally, the food is delicious : perfectly prepared vegetables, lots of color and full of taste. Healthy ànd delicious! Love this place!
Now that we are in the South of France, I would also love to mention Le Senequier in St-Tropez. It's a classic and not quiete original, I know. But I love to sit there, have a well-made cocktail and enjoy the view watching the different kinds of people walking around.
Ibiza is being overwhelmed by tourists, I miss the times that it was a chill place. The beaches and the city centre are way too crowdy. That is why I like to stay in the inlands. And in the middle of nowhere, at San Lorenz de Balafia, there is an amazing place called La Paloma. Created by an Italian family that fell in love with Ibiza. The deco is gipsy and authentic. They have 2 formulas. Fresh made pastas and high end plates in the evening. But my favourite is their lunch concept : home made hummus, fresh salads straight from their garden, tasty kebabs and mindblowing pizzas. Kill me now!
In Bordeaux I like Le Bar du Boucher. When you walk in, there is a counter full of meat, as if you enter a butcher store. You get to choose your piece of local meat which they cut especially for you. An easy concept, but it provides such a great experience!
To close this list, I would love to mention the Gansevoort Market, Meatpacking District In Manhattan New York. It is a place full of small foodconcepts, all perfectly executed. You get the best roasted cauliflower in the world, the best tacos you will ever have tasted, amazing lobster sandwich, daily fresh seafood from Canada and kebab with roasted beef and pickles. The only thing they do not have is great beer. But ok, we need a reason to get back home, right?
Feel free to share your list with me, would be happy to discuss!
